State-Level NSS Leadership Training Camp in Haveri

A significant state-level leadership training initiative for National Service Scheme volunteers is set to commence in Haveri, bringing together young change-makers from across Karnataka for an intensive week of learning and development.

Camp Details and Organization

The seven-day residential camp will be held at GH College in Haveri from December 3 to December 9, organized through a collaborative effort between Gandhi Vichar Pranitha, the Karnataka Gandhi Memorial Trust, and the NSS units of KLE Society's Guddeppa Hallikeri Arts, Science and Commerce College.

Principal Manjunath Holli, who announced the event during a press conference, revealed that approximately 150 NSS volunteers from various parts of Karnataka are expected to participate in this comprehensive training program.

Comprehensive Training Curriculum

The camp has been designed to provide holistic development opportunities for participants, focusing on multiple aspects of leadership and social responsibility. The training curriculum encompasses Gandhi's principles, social service methodologies, personality development techniques, and the crucial role of youth in nation-building.

Each day of the camp will feature a diverse range of activities including expert lectures, interactive group discussions, practical training sessions, yoga practice, cultural programs, and specialized activities related to Gandhi studies.

Distinguished Participants and Inauguration

The event will be inaugurated by Dr. Vode P Krishna, president of the Karnataka Gandhi Memorial Trust, with MC Kolli, member of the KLE Society's governing board, presiding over the ceremony.

The inaugural function will host several distinguished chief guests including Shashikala Malagi, president of the CMC; Prof. Suresh Jangamashetti, vice-chancellor of Haveri University; Dr. SL Balehosur of the college's local governing body; MC Narendra, honorary secretary of the Karnataka Gandhi Memorial Trust; and Prof. CS Kummuru, NSS coordinator of Haveri University.

This leadership camp represents a significant opportunity for young volunteers to enhance their skills and contribute more effectively to social development initiatives across Karnataka.
