Army Public School Lucknow Hosts Grand Annual Exhibition 'Virasat se Vikas Tak'

Army Public School, located on Sardar Patel Marg in Lucknow, successfully celebrated its annual exhibition-cum-fete titled 'Virasat se Vikas Tak' on January 20 and 21. The two-day event beautifully encapsulated the theme's core message of progress deeply rooted in heritage, aligning with India's broader vision of a Viksit Bharat or developed nation.

Inaugural Ceremony with Distinguished Guests

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a ribbon-cutting by the guest of honour, Ritu Pundir, who serves as the chairperson of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) for the 11 GRRC. She was joined by the chief guest, Brigadier S S Pundir, Commandant of the 11 GRRC, adding a sense of prestige and military tradition to the occasion.

On the second day, the event was graced by another esteemed personality, Colonel (Retd) Brajendra Pratap Singh, the director of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) for the Central Command, who attended as the chief guest. The entire programme was meticulously conducted under the expert guidance of Archana Srivastava, the officiating principal of APS Sardar Patel Marg, and Minti Bhatia, the head mistress, ensuring a smooth and impactful execution.

Cultural Performances and Artistic Highlights

The event featured a series of captivating performances that resonated with the theme of heritage and progress. It began with a soulful rendition of "A New Dawn", which set a serene and hopeful tone for the festivities. This was followed by 'Naadbhramini', a performance that artistically depicted the ancient cosmic sound of creation through the powerful reverberation of Om, symbolising the timeless essence of Indian spirituality and philosophy.

Students then presented a musical amalgamation titled "Umeedo ki Sargam", which beautifully symbolised hope and aspirations for the future. This performance drew an appreciative and enthusiastic response from the audience, highlighting the talent and dedication of the young participants. The exhibition-cum-fete served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity while reinforcing the importance of balancing tradition with modern development.
