Assam HSLC 2026 Results Set for Friday Morning Declaration
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has officially confirmed that the much-anticipated High School Leaving Certificate Examination 2026 results will be announced on Friday morning at precisely 10:30 AM. This announcement follows the successful completion of the Class X state board examinations, which were conducted throughout the month of February this year.
Digital Access and Official Notification Details
According to board officials, students will be able to access their digital mark sheets immediately following the declaration through designated websites and mobile applications starting from 10:30 AM on Friday. The official notification clearly states that for downloading the marks sheet, candidates must enter their Roll Number in the provided space on the portal.
The notification, issued by ASSEB secretary Naranarayan Nath, reads: "This is hereby notified for information of all candidates who appeared in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination, 2026 conducted by the Assam State School Education Board, Div–I during the month of February, 2026 that their results will be declared through the Results Gazette in PDF format and the Roll Numbers of the candidates who are declared passed will be provided therein."
Examination Statistics and Infrastructure Expansion
This year's examination witnessed massive participation with more than 4 lakh candidates appearing for the crucial board exams. The registration numbers were even more impressive, with a record 4.38 lakh candidates having registered for the 2026 Assam HSLC examinations.
In a significant development aimed at accommodating the growing number of examinees, the board added 117 new examination centers this year, bringing the total number of centers to 1,046 across the state. This expansion represents a substantial increase in examination infrastructure to ensure smooth conduct of the assessments.
Multilingual Question Papers and Political Context
In a move to support linguistic diversity, students received their question papers in five different languages—English, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo and Hindi. These were thoughtfully arranged in five separate compilations within a single examination booklet, ensuring accessibility for students from various linguistic backgrounds.
The timing of the result announcement carries political significance as well. During his election campaign earlier this year, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had publicly stated that the Class X board results would be declared on April 10, which falls just one day after polling for the state assembly elections concluded.
The Assam HSLC examinations represent a crucial milestone in the academic journey of hundreds of thousands of students across the state. The board's systematic approach to result declaration, combined with expanded examination infrastructure and multilingual support, reflects the state's commitment to educational excellence and accessibility for all students.
