Government and Board Initiatives for Excellence

Education Minister Sunil Kumar praised the board's efforts, noting that girls outperformed boys in both pass rates and top ranks. He highlighted BSEB's technological advancements, which have been adopted by other state boards like Rajasthan and Goa, and mentioned the board's receipt of the Prime Minister’s Excellence Award. Kumar also encouraged students who did not pass to reappear and urged parents to avoid putting undue stress on their children.

Board Chairman Anand Kishor announced a historic achievement, with results declared in a record 28 days. He attributed this efficiency to new technologies, including pre-printed barcode and litho code answer copies, which sped up the evaluation process. Kishor detailed that 139 students are in the top 10 ranks, with five in the top three and 13 in the top five.

Scholarships and Future Plans

All top 10 scorers will be felicitated by the Board, with cash prizes ranging from Rs 2 lakh for the first rank to Rs 20,000 for ranks 4 to 10, along with laptops, certificates, and medals. Additionally, the Bihar School Examination Committee Dr Rajendra Prasad Medha Scholarship has been increased, offering top 10 rank holders Rs 2,000 per month for two years or until completion of a technical diploma course, provided they study in a recognized government institution.

Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply for scrutiny from April 1 to 7. The board has also opened online forms for the Matriculation Special and Compartmental Examinations 2026 during this period, aiming to declare results by May 31 to prevent academic delays.

Leadership and Empowerment

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated all successful students, emphasizing the joint top achievement by two girls as a testament to women's empowerment. He credited state government schemes for boosting girls' confidence and progress, describing their performance as a great example of societal advancement.
