The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has officially declared the results of the Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2025, marking a significant milestone for thousands of aspiring teachers across the state.

Result Declaration and Key Statistics

In a major development for the education sector, the BSE Odisha released the Special OTET 2025 results on November 16, 2025, with the results becoming accessible on the official website bseodisha.ac.in from 1 PM onwards. The examination witnessed impressive participation with 75,403 candidates registering for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 combined.

Out of the total registrations, 72,413 candidates appeared for the examination, demonstrating strong commitment among teaching professionals. The most remarkable achievement came in the form of 48,153 candidates successfully qualifying both papers, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 66.50%.

Paper-wise Performance Analysis

The examination results revealed interesting patterns in candidate performance across different papers. For Paper 1, which is designed for teachers of Classes 1 to 5, the statistics show that 29,004 candidates registered, with 27,533 actually appearing for the test. Among these, 12,988 candidates qualified, achieving a pass percentage of 47.17%.

Paper 2, intended for teachers of Classes 6 to 8, demonstrated significantly better results. This paper attracted 46,399 registered candidates, with 44,880 appearing for the examination. The qualification numbers were substantially higher with 35,165 candidates passing, resulting in an impressive pass percentage of 78.35%.

Important Dates and Next Steps

The Board has established clear timelines for certificate downloads and other post-result procedures. Qualified candidates can download their digitized certificates by paying the required fees between November 15, 2025 (from 4 PM onwards) and January 15, 2026 (until midnight).

For candidates who were unable to qualify, the Board has provided an opportunity to access and download their OMR answer sheets from the same portal. This facility will remain available until November 22, 2025, from 4 PM onwards, allowing candidates to review their performance and identify areas for improvement.
