CBSE Conducts Key Consultative Session at Bhavan Panchkula for Board Exam Evaluation

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently organized a significant consultative session at Bhavan Vidyalaya in Panchkula, aimed at addressing critical issues related to the evaluation of answer scripts for Class X and Class XII board examinations. This session was presided over by Rajesh Kumar Gupta, the Regional Officer of CBSE in Panchkula, who led discussions on enhancing the assessment process.

High-Level Participation and Focus on Evaluation Protocols

The event saw the active involvement of 12 Chief Nodal Supervisors and 81 Head Examiners, all of whom are integral to the ongoing evaluation procedures. During the session, Rajesh Kumar Gupta emphasized the CBSE's ongoing initiatives to strengthen the capacity of evaluators. He highlighted the board's commitment to ensuring continuous orientation with evolving assessment practices and protocols, which are essential for maintaining high standards in education.

Key initiatives discussed included the introduction of on-screen marking for Class XII answer books. This technological advancement is designed to eliminate totalling errors, automate coordination, reduce manual intervention, and facilitate faster evaluation with broader teacher participation. The move is part of CBSE's broader efforts to enhance efficiency and transparency in the examination system.
