The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), has released a notification for Scientist C, D, and E posts. The recruitment is being carried out under Advertisement No. 157. A total of 33 vacancies will be filled through this drive. Pay Scale and Levels
The recruitment covers three scientist levels with different pay scales under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Scientist ‘C’ posts are in Pay Level-11 with a basic pay of Rs 67,700. Scientist ‘D’ posts fall under Pay Level-12 with Rs 78,800. Scientist ‘E’ posts are in Pay Level-13 with a basic pay of Rs 1,23,100.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for these posts must have a relevant degree in fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering or Physics/Mathematics. A minimum of first division or 60 per cent marks is required.
Work Experience Requirements
The notification also mentions work experience requirements. Scientist ‘C’ requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, Scientist ‘D’ needs 7 years, and Scientist ‘E’ requires a minimum of 11 years of post-qualification experience.
