Key Highlights and Passing Percentage

This year's HTET witnessed a notably low passing rate of only 14 per cent. The examination was conducted over two days, on July 30 and 31, 2025, to determine the eligibility of candidates for various teaching positions in Haryana government schools. These positions include Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT).

HTET 2025 Qualifying Marks and Certificate Validity

The qualifying marks for the HTET 2025 vary based on the candidate's category, as set by the Board of School Education, Haryana.

  • General category candidates must score a minimum of 90 out of 150 marks (60%).
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) and Physically Challenged candidates from Haryana need to secure at least 83 marks (55%).
  • However, SC and Differently Abled candidates from other states must also meet the general category threshold of 90 marks (60%).

Candidates who successfully qualify for the HTET 2025 and complete the mandatory biometric verification will be awarded the HTET Eligibility Certificate. A significant advantage for qualifiers is that this certificate holds lifetime validity. This allows them to apply for teaching roles in Haryana government schools without needing to retake the examination in the future.
