According to the board's official notification, the annual theory examinations for both classes will occur during February and March of 2026. HBSE Class 9th Examination Schedule 2026
The Class 9th annual examinations will begin on February 17, 2026. The testing period will conclude on March 6, 2026. Major subjects including Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science will take place between February 17 and February 25, 2026.
The board has established specific dates for optional subjects, NSQF papers, vocational courses, and additional language papers. Most Class 9th theory papers will follow the morning shift timing from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Certain NSQF and vocational examinations will finish earlier at 11:00 AM as indicated in the official schedule.
Language papers for Punjabi, Sanskrit, and Urdu will occur on March 2, 2026. Sanskrit Sahitya and Sanskrit Vyakaran examinations will run from March 5, 2026, through March 6, 2026, marking the end of Class 9th testing.
HBSE Class 11th Examination Dates 2026
The annual theory examinations for Class 11th will start slightly earlier than Class 9th. Testing begins on February 16, 2026, and continues through March 13, 2026. The first examination will cover English Core and English Elective subjects, initiating the testing period for all academic streams.
Core subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Accountancy, Economics, and History will take place from February 23 to March 2, 2026. NSQF and Vocational courses will primarily occur on March 5, 2026.
Remaining courses such as Sociology, Music, Computer Science, Philosophy, Dance, Sanskrit Vyakaran, and Sanskrit Sahitya will run from March 6 to March 13, 2026. All Class 11th theory examinations will follow morning shift timings, predominantly from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with selected papers concluding at 11:00 AM.
