A government school teacher in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district has been removed from his position following the emergence of a disturbing video. The footage showed the educator allegedly arriving at the school under the influence of alcohol and then behaving in a threatening and inappropriate manner with students.
Video Evidence Leads to Immediate Suspension
The incident took place on January 6 at the Government Integrated Middle School in Dongar Chichli, located in the Khargone district. The headmaster of the school, Keshav Sharde, was captured on camera speaking incoherently and issuing threats to the children present. In the viral video, Sharde is seen entering a classroom while slurring his words.
He told the terrified students that he would not spare even his own son and claimed no one could harm him as he was officially on leave. His alarming behavior caused panic, leading students to run out of the classroom in fear. Shockingly, the headmaster then chased after the fleeing children, insisting that the school period was still ongoing.
Administrative Action and Show-Cause Notices
Taking swift action after the video surfaced, Khargone Collector Bhavya Mittal ordered a detailed inquiry into the matter. Based on the findings, the collector suspended headmaster Keshav Sharde on Friday. The order was confirmed by Khargone tribal welfare assistant commissioner Iqbal Hussain Adil.
The district administration did not stop at suspending the teacher. It also took disciplinary action against four educational officials for failing to report the serious incident promptly to their seniors. Show-cause notices have been issued to block education officer Vishnu Patidar, jan shikshak Shailesh Verma, block resource coordinator Ranjeet Arya, and cluster principal Lokendra Singh Tomar. They are required to explain why they did not bring the matter to the notice of higher authorities within the stipulated timeframe.
