TRB Announces First Phase Results for Assistant Professor Recruitment
The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) of Tamil Nadu has officially released the first phase of results for the assistant professors' examination, targeting government arts and science colleges. This initial announcement covers five specialized subjects: history education, human rights, Indian culture and tourism, marine biology, and wildlife biology.
Examination Details and Candidate Turnout
According to the board's statement, a total of 42,064 candidates participated in the written test conducted on December 27. These candidates are competing to fill 2,708 available vacancies across the state. The evaluation process is ongoing, with the mark list being published in a phased manner as assessments are completed.
The board clarified that the evaluation of Paper II is currently in progress, and further results will be announced sequentially. For subjects with fewer than five vacancies, the selection process will involve calling one in three candidates for certificate verification and interviews, ensuring a rigorous and fair screening.
Previous Steps in the Recruitment Process
Earlier, on January 5, the TRB had released a tentative answer key along with an objection tracker for both Part A and Part B of the examination. All representations submitted by candidates within the stipulated timeframe were meticulously reviewed by subject experts. After thorough scrutiny, the final key answers were determined and approved by these experts, paving the way for the result declaration.
Upcoming Verification and Interview Schedule
The certificate verification and interview sessions for the five subjects are scheduled to take place on March 23 and 24. Candidates will be able to access their call letters through the official candidate dashboard on the TRB website. Additionally, individual notifications will be sent via email and SMS to ensure all applicants are informed promptly.
