In a candidate-friendly move, the commission has also provided a correction facility, allowing applicants to rectify any errors in their forms until 9 January 2026. This recruitment is notably one of the largest of its kind in Uttar Pradesh this year, aiming to strengthen the faculty across government polytechnic institutions.
The 513 notified posts are distributed across a diverse range of disciplines. The bulk of vacancies are in core engineering branches, including:

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
The UPPSC has set clear and discipline-specific academic qualifications. For engineering and technology posts, candidates must possess a first-class B.E./B.Tech/B.S. degree or a first-class Bachelor's and Master's degree in the relevant branch. Applicants for science and humanities subjects need a first-class Master's degree in the respective discipline.
The age limit for general category candidates is between 21 and 40 years as of 1 July 2025. The commission adheres to state government norms for age relaxation, which are applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-Servicemen categories.

Selection Process, Salary, and Exam Pattern
The selection for UPPSC Polytechnic Lecturer will be a multi-stage process designed to assess candidates thoroughly. It will commence with a written examination comprising two papers. The first paper will test General Hindi and General Studies, while the second will be subject-specific. The written test will carry a total of 750 marks from 250 questions, with a negative marking scheme for wrong answers.
Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for an interview, followed by a crucial document verification round. Upon final selection, the appointed lecturers will be placed in the 7th Pay Commission's Level 9A or Level 10. This translates to an attractive entry-level pay ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹57,700 per month, plus other admissible allowances as per government rules.
