This marks a dramatic acceleration from the previous year, where the same milestone was reached on the 12th day of the placement drive.
Unprecedented Pace and Premium Packages
This year's placement season at IIT-BHU is not just fast; it is also highly lucrative. The compensation packages have seen a significant uptick, reflecting the high value companies place on the institute's graduates. The highest annual package offered so far has touched an impressive Rs 1.67 crore. Meanwhile, the average package for students placed in this initial phase stands at a robust Rs 29.23 lakh per annum.
The very first day of placements set a powerful tone, with 17 students receiving offers exceeding Rs 1 crore. This early surge underscores the intense competition among top recruiters to secure the best minds from the campus.

The recruitment wave is being driven by some of the most dynamic and high-growth sectors in the global economy. Companies specializing in quantitative finance, financial technology (fintech), and deep-tech domains have shown particularly strong interest.
