In a significant move to enhance higher education opportunities, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University (KMCLU) in Lucknow has announced the introduction of 14 new undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses, set to commence from the academic session 2026-27. This expansion aims to provide students with diverse and career-focused learning pathways in specialized fields.

New Postgraduate Programs with Limited Seats

The university will launch eight new PG courses, each designed to cater to growing industry demands. The programs include:

  • MSc Home Science with 20 seats
  • MSc Zoology with 20 seats
  • MSc Biotechnology with 20 seats
  • MSc Microbiology with 20 seats
  • MA Sanskrit with 20 seats
  • MSc Industrial Chemistry with 20 seats
  • MTech Biotechnology Engineering with 18 seats
  • MA Sociology with 30 seats

These courses are structured to offer advanced knowledge and practical skills, preparing graduates for competitive job markets.

Undergraduate Courses Focused on Emerging Disciplines

At the UG level, KMCLU will introduce six new programs, emphasizing modern and niche areas of study. The courses are:

  • BTech CSE (Cyber Security) with 60 seats
  • Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports with 30 seats
  • BA Music (Vocal) with 30 seats
  • BA Psychology with 30 seats
  • BA Awadhi with 30 seats
  • BSc Home Science with 30 seats

These undergraduate offerings are tailored to meet the evolving educational needs of students seeking specialized career paths.

University Emphasizes Job-Oriented and Unique Disciplines

According to KMCLU spokesperson Ruchita Sujai Chowdhary, the new courses are strategically chosen for their job-oriented nature and uniqueness. "These courses are job-oriented and disciplines not offered by many institutions," she stated, highlighting the university's commitment to providing distinctive educational opportunities.

Chowdhary elaborated on specific programs, noting that the BA in Music will deliver professional vocal training, career versatility, and essential networking opportunities for aspiring musicians. Similarly, the MSc in Industrial Chemistry is designed to impart specialized knowledge, strong career prospects, and practical laboratory experience tailored to the chemical sector, ensuring graduates are well-equipped for industry roles.
