The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially unveiled the examination calendar for the crucial state-level entrance tests for the 2026-27 academic year. Announced on December 30, 2025, the schedule confirms that a series of Common Entrance Tests (CETs) will be conducted throughout the month of May 2026, setting the timeline for lakhs of aspiring students.

Key Engineering and Pharmacy Exam Dates

The spotlight is on the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TG EAMCET 2026), which will be administered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). For candidates seeking admission to engineering streams, the computer-based test is slated for May 9, 10, and 11, 2026.

Meanwhile, students aiming for agriculture and pharmacy programmes will have their entrance examination earlier in the month, on May 4 and 5, 2026. The council has stated that detailed notifications regarding eligibility criteria, application process, and fee structure will be issued by the respective CET conveners in due course. Complete Schedule for Other Major Entrance Tests

Beyond EAMCET, the TGCHE has released a comprehensive timetable for other professional courses. For management and computer applications aspirants, Mahatma Gandhi University will conduct the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TG ICET 2026) on May 13 and 14 for MBA and MCA admissions.

The education sector will see Kakatiya University holding the Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG EDCET) for BEd admissions on May 12. Law aspirants must mark May 18 on their calendars for TG LAWCET and TG PGLCET, conducted by Osmania University for LLB and LLM programmes respectively.

Furthermore, Osmania University will also oversee TG ECET on May 15 for lateral entry into engineering and pharmacy degrees. For postgraduate engineering courses, JNTUH will organize TG PGECET from May 28 to 31.

Physical Education and Important Notes

The examination series will conclude with the Telangana Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TG PECET 2026), managed by Satavahana University. This test, which includes physical efficiency assessments, is scheduled to run from May 31 to June 3, 2026.

Prospective candidates are advised to stay vigilant for the upcoming detailed notifications from the universities. The announcement provides a clear roadmap, allowing students nearly a year and a half to prepare strategically for their targeted entrance examinations. This early declaration by TGCHE is expected to aid in systematic planning for coaching and studies across the state.
