Amravati: Shreeda Shailesh Jog, a student of Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, is likely to be the district topper from the Arts stream in the HSC examinations. She achieved an impressive score of 93.83 percent.
Shreeda, who resides in Krishnarpan Colony, told TOI that she had no interest in Science but loved Mathematics, which she took as one of her HSC subjects. Her other subjects included Logic, Psychology, Economics, Sanskrit, and English. She scored full marks in both Sanskrit and Logic.
Unique Subject Combination
According to her father Shailesh, Shreeda was the only student in the Board to opt for the English-Logic and English-Maths combination. Shailesh, along with his wife Sharvari, works as a financial planner. He described his daughter's success as surprising for both parents.
Shreeda is the younger of two siblings. Her elder sister Shreeya scored 100 percent marks in Class 10 and was second in merit in her Class 12, currently pursuing a BBA degree.
Future Plans
Shreeda expressed a clear desire to enter the business domain and wants to pursue liberal arts. She categorically ruled out appearing for UPSC or MPSC examinations. She mentioned that she always wanted to study Arts and never felt pressured about her studies.
Sporting Achievements
Apart from academics, Shreeda is an accomplished sportswoman. She has represented at the state level in squash and golf, showcasing her versatility beyond the classroom.
