Patna: Two students of Patliputra University brought laurels to the institution by successfully completing a prestigious adventure training camp in Himachal Pradesh. Sapna Kumari of BD College and Bunty Kumar of AN College were awarded certificates for their outstanding performance at the camp organised by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports in Manali (Himachal).
The training provided hands-on experience in a range of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, rappelling, trekking, camping, jungle craft, survival techniques and leadership development.
As part of the programme, Sapna and Bunty completed a challenging 65-km trek in the Himalayan region, reaching an altitude of around 9,500 feet. According to the certificates issued by the institute, both students demonstrated physical fitness, discipline, cooperation and exemplary conduct throughout the training.
Patliputra University vice-chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh felicitated the students and presented them with their certificates. Congratulating them, he wished them success in their future endeavours. AN College principal Ratna Amrit Dubey was also present on the occasion.
Meditation Workshop
A three-day meditation workshop commenced at Patliputra University on Thursday under the joint initiative of the university’s Health and Wellness Centre and the Heartfulness Institute, Patna. The workshop, which will continue till June 20, aims to promote mental well-being, stress management and positive living among students, faculty and staff.
Inaugurating the programme, VC Upendra Prasad Singh highlighted the importance of mindfulness and meditation in strengthening mental health, self-discipline and a positive outlook. Registrar Abu Bakr Rizvi said meditation is an effective tool for achieving inner peace and emotional balance in today’s competitive and stressful environment.
Programme nodal officer Kirti said participants will receive practical training in meditation, self-management, stress control and mental wellness during the three-day session.
