Ravenshaw University Team Secures Third Place in Chancellor's Cup Short Film Competition
A team from Ravenshaw University clinched the third position in the Chancellor's Cup Short Film Competition at an award ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. The contest was organized under the Nashamukt Abhiyan, a state government initiative aimed at curbing substance abuse. The team, representing the Department of Information and Tourism Management, was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for its short film promoting awareness against substance abuse. The competition was part of the state government's efforts to encourage youth participation in the anti-drug campaign and spread the message of a drug-free society through creative media. Members of the winning team included Kamal Lochan Senapati, Adil Asraf, Sunil Maharana, Ritik Thakur, and Subhamshree Muduli. The students were felicitated during the Chancellor's Cup award ceremony in recognition of their creative contribution and impactful storytelling.

Cycle Rally at Fakir Mohan University Marks World Bicycle Day
More than 80 participants, including teachers, non-teaching staff, and students of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore, took part in a cycle rally on Friday to mark World Bicycle Day. The event aimed to promote health, environmental sustainability, and fuel conservation. It was held under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Santosh Kumar Tripathy. The rally began from the university's Remuna campus and concluded at the Nuapadhi campus. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of cycling, such as improved physical fitness, reduced pollution, and eco-friendly transportation. Addressing the participants, Tripathy said that every kilometer traveled on a bicycle helps save fuel, cut carbon emissions, and improve personal health.
