Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has recently addressed the intense public scrutiny surrounding her marriage to fellow actor Ranbir Kapoor. In a candid interview with Esquire India, Bhatt revealed that the couple remains largely unaffected by external opinions and noise.
Unbothered by Public Commentary
When asked about what people say regarding their relationship, Alia Bhatt stated emphatically that the criticism does not impact them. "The noise doesn't reach us. Because it's not real," she asserted during the conversation.
She elaborated on this perspective by highlighting the longevity of their relationship compared to fleeting public judgments. "They're responding to three-and-a-half seconds or seven seconds of what they're seeing. We've been together for seven years. That's way more seconds than what people are commenting on," Bhatt added, emphasizing the depth of their bond.
Social Media Memes and Reality
Alia Bhatt shared that while she and Ranbir Kapoor often miss the social media memes created about them, they occasionally find humor in them. "Even the B of bother doesn't enter our life," she quipped, underscoring their detached approach.
Drawing an analogy, she explained, "If you're in a room of fifty people, maybe only four actually care about you. The rest might be thinking terrible things, but you can't hear them." Bhatt firmly believes that external opinions cannot alter their reality.
Reflecting on her personal fulfillment, she said, "Is my reality changing? No. Is my family dynamic changing? Not at all. Am I living my dream? Yes. Do I go to sleep every day with a grateful heart? One hundred percent."
Motherhood and Social Media Dilemma
In the same interview, Alia Bhatt opened up about how motherhood has transformed her perspective. She admitted to frequently contemplating deleting her social media accounts to focus solely on her acting career.
"There are days when I wake up and think, okay, I just want to delete my social media and be an actor who acts. I don't want to keep up with this conversation again and again," she confessed.
However, Bhatt revealed what holds her back from taking this step. "I know that would really cut off contact with so many people who've supported me from the beginning, and I don't want to do that," she explained, acknowledging her loyal fanbase.
Personal Life Boundaries
The actor also discussed how becoming a mother has made her more protective of her privacy. "When it comes to really putting out your personal life...now my personal life is so personal that I find it a little bit difficult. My photo album is full of Raha. I actually have to work hard to take pictures of myself," she shared, referring to her daughter.
Upcoming Film Projects
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt has several exciting projects lined up. She will next be seen in Alpha, a high-octane action thriller that joins the YRF Spy Universe. The film features Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol in key roles and is directed by Shiv Rawail.
The release schedule for Alpha has seen multiple changes:
- Initially planned for Christmas 2025
- Then postponed to April 17, 2026
- Further delayed to the second half of 2026
Producers are yet to confirm a definitive new release date for the film.
Additionally, Bhatt is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. This highly anticipated project adds to her diverse portfolio of upcoming work.
