However, director David Dhawan remained steadfast and firm in his decision, insisting that Aruna Irani was the perfect choice for the role. "He said, 'No, Aruna ji, you will do it. "That's why no one thought of making Aruna Irani the heroine. They would say she does small roles, she plays the sister well. But I had to work," she added. If I didn't have those compulsions, maybe I would have disappeared," she concluded thoughtfully.
