The actress elaborated on how her brother first encountered her future husband. "My brother Venu first met Sharath at a restaurant in the Gulf. They started talking as Malayalis, and that acquaintance grew into a friendship. It was with my brother that Sharath first saw one of my dance performances. He was just 24 years old then," she shared. "He called his mother and said that he had seen a girl and wanted to marry her. At that time, his mother took it as just a thought of a young man."
Asha explained how the relationship progressed from that initial spark. Her husband later expressed his sincere interest in marrying her to her brother. "Later, he expressed his wish to marry me to my brother. Sharath is a very disciplined person, and my brother liked him as well. That is how things moved towards a marriage proposal," she said. "Sharath did not come to see me first. Instead, his parents came home and stayed for three or four days. I met Sharath in person only a few days before the wedding."
