Danish Pandor Reveals Real-Life Terror Behind Dhurandhar's Gruesome Scene
As Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its phenomenal box office journey, one sequence has captured audience attention for its visceral intensity: the violent depiction of gangster Arshad Pappu's killing by Uzair Baloch, portrayed by Danish Pandor. The actor has now shared chilling insights into filming this brutal moment, revealing its basis in actual events.
Real-Life Horror Fuels On-Screen Violence
In an exclusive revelation, Danish Pandor disclosed that the scene's raw power stems from its real-world origins. "That incident has actually happened in real life," he confessed. "When I first read about it, I was very terrified... even reading about it made me wonder how someone could do something like that."
Despite initial horror, the actor embraced the challenge with professional dedication. "But as an actor, when you work on a character, you give yourself fully to it. As you keep reading, you begin to understand how he would behave... When I read that scene, I was actually very excited to do it," he explained, highlighting the complex emotional journey from fear to artistic commitment.
Instinct Over Monitor: The Actor's Method
Discussing his performance approach, Danish emphasized trusting his instincts rather than technical feedback. "I did that scene by staying in the moment and in the situation. After every take, I would look towards Aditya Dhar, and if he gave a thumbs up, I wouldn't even go to the monitor because I wanted my director to be extremely happy," he shared.
The sequence required extensive preparation and spontaneity. "A lot of hard work went into it... we also did quite a bit of improvisation. That's how we went forward," he added, crediting director Aditya Dhar's collaborative vision for the scene's impactful execution.
Physical Toll: Injury on Set
The intense filming came with physical consequences. Danish revealed he sustained a significant injury during the sequence. "I hurt my thumb during the flow of the scene and was immediately rushed to the hospital. It took around two to two-and-a-half months to heal... it got a bit serious," he admitted.
Reflecting on the incident, he acknowledged momentary loss of control. "It was my stupidity, in the heat of the moment I lost control a little." Fortunately, the production team provided supportive recovery time, demonstrating the collaborative spirit behind the blockbuster.
