Bollywood Star Govinda Returns Home After Hospitalization
Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was discharged from CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Juhu on November 12, following a health scare that led to his hospitalization. The 61-year-old actor had been admitted after experiencing disorientation and briefly losing consciousness at his Mumbai residence.
Emergency Hospital Admission
The incident occurred when Govinda felt disoriented around 8:30 pm and subsequently became unconscious. His friend and legal adviser, Lalit Bindal, immediately rushed the actor to the hospital after he fainted.
"He felt disoriented at around 8:30 pm yesterday and became unconscious. The family then consulted the doctor, who prescribed medication for him. But, he still felt weakness," Bindal explained to PTI.
Following initial medical consultation, the family decided to hospitalize Govinda on doctor's advice. His manager, Shashi Sinha, confirmed that the actor was under medical observation, with doctors monitoring his condition while test results were being analyzed.
Recovery and Health Update
Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, Govinda appeared in better spirits and shared insights into what might have caused his health episode. "I'm good. I did excessive workout and was fatigued. Yoga-Pranayam is good. Heavy exercise is tough," the actor revealed.
He emphasized his preference for yoga and breathing exercises over intense workouts, stating, "I am trying to make my personality even better. I feel Yoga-Pranayam is better."
The actor confirmed that his treatment was ongoing, with doctors having provided necessary medication. Medical professionals have advised rest and further observation following this health incident.
Recent Health History
This hospitalization comes shortly after another health-related incident involving the actor. In October 2024, Govinda was admitted to the same hospital after accidentally injuring his knee when his licensed revolver misfired.
That incident occurred around 4:45 am as he was preparing to travel to Kolkata for a show. The gun allegedly slipped from his hand and discharged, requiring surgical removal of the bullet. Govinda had been discharged after three days of treatment following that accident.
Interestingly, Govinda's recent hospitalization occurred shortly after he visited veteran actor Dharmendra at Breach Candy Hospital, where he joined several Bollywood celebrities checking on the ailing superstar.
Doctors have declared Govinda stable, and the actor is now resting at home under medical supervision as he continues his recovery process.
