Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Release Unaffected: Producer

Producer Ramesh Taurani has finally addressed the controversy surrounding the upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and veteran producer Vashu Bhagnani. Taurani made it clear that the matter is under control and will have no impact on the film's promotions or its scheduled release.

Ramesh Taurani Assures No Impact on Release

When questions about the legal notice linked to the dispute arose at the film's trailer launch event, Taurani responded directly with composure and confidence. He stated, "There is no problem in this. Whatever we had, has been sorted." He firmly ruled out any possibility of the film's promotions or release being affected. Taurani further added, "And whatever comes next will also be sorted. So, there is no problem. And it's a sub judice matter. So, we are handling it," leaving little room for speculation.

The Controversy Explained

The controversy began when Vashu Bhagnani alleged that songs from one of his films were recreated and used without his permission for Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Bhagnani emphasized that his fight is not about money but about ethical rights.

Vashu Bhagnani Expresses Disappointment

Bhagnani did not hold back in expressing his disappointment over David Dhawan's alleged involvement in recreating songs from his films. The fact that the film stars David's son Varun made the situation more personal. Bhagnani said, "At least mere paas aate aur kehte Vashu mai yeh gaana karna hai mera beta hai. How can you shoot the same songs for another producer? There has to be ethics in the industry." He also opened up about his deep bond with David Dhawan, stating, "David is my brother. I have had lunch and dinner with him. I gave my life for him. Financially, it is fine, but emotionally, the whole family is broken."

Technical Glitch Claim Dismissed

Bhagnani challenged the official reason for the cancellation of the earlier trailer launch, dismissing the claim of a technical glitch. He alleged that the real reason was the team's awareness of ongoing court proceedings and fear of contempt of court. He said, "They cancelled because they were aware about the contempt of court. Now they have gone and filed in the Patna court. They knew very clearly that if anything happened, it would be contempt of court. But they made an excuse by calling it a glitch."

A Fight for Industry Ethics

Despite the legal battle, Bhagnani stated he has no intention of obstructing the film's release. He remains open to resolving the matter through talks, saying, "Remove my visuals, do a deal with me, or take permission, that's all I am asking." He stressed that his fight is bigger than this dispute, aiming to protect producers' rights and intellectual property. "My fight is not for me. My fight is for the public. It is about justice and ethics," he said. His lawyer highlighted that the court's status quo order covers all music rights mentioned in the suit.
