Hema Malini visited her designated polling station in Mumbai on Thursday morning to cast her vote. As she addressed gathered media representatives outside the booth, a senior citizen interrupted the proceedings. The elderly man expressed his frustration about alleged chaos and poor management at the voting location.
The Mathura MP initially tried to handle the situation diplomatically. She directed one of her associates to speak with the concerned citizen. However, her patience visibly wore thin as the complaints continued.
The senior citizen made his grievances clear for everyone to hear. "I have lived in this area for sixty years," he stated firmly. "This is the first time I have witnessed such disorder. I arrived at 7:30 AM to vote, but only managed to cast my ballot at 9:30 AM. No one here takes responsibility, and even local BJP workers are absent."Hema's Reaction and Response

"Every Mumbai citizen must recognize how vital this election is," she told reporters. "If we want safety, security, development, clean air, and proper roads, we all need to take responsibility. We must come out and vote."
The actress-politician also shared her perspective on the city she calls home. "I believe Mumbai represents the world's finest city," she remarked. "But there is always room for improvement."

This public appearance comes just months after Hema Malini experienced a significant personal loss. Her husband, legendary actor Dharmendra, passed away in November at age eighty-nine. The couple married in 1980 and raised two daughters together, Esha and Ahana.
Dharmendra maintained his marriage to first wife Prakash Kaur throughout his life with Hema. From that union came four children who have made their own mark in Indian cinema: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeeta Deol, and Vijayta Deol.
