In his social media post, Roshan wrote extensively about his viewing experience, stating: "What a beautifully crafted film 120 Bahadur is! Incredible aesthetics. Incredible performances. Farhan Akhtar, u are superb. Every department deserves a pat on their backs. Raznessh Ghai, your direction is flawless. Well done guys! Well done!!"

The Historical Significance of 120 Bahadur

Directed by Razneesh Ghai, '120 Bahadur' portrays the heroic story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honor, for his exceptional bravery during the Battle of Rezang La in 1962. The film focuses on one of the most significant military engagements in Indian history that occurred during the Sino-Indian War.

The movie accurately depicts how Major Bhati's unit, which was predominantly composed of Ahir (Yadav) soldiers hailing from Rewari and surrounding regions in Haryana, valiantly defended the Rezang La Pass. This strategic location served as the first line of defense for the Chushul airfield, making their stand crucial to the broader conflict.

Challenges of Bringing Real Stories to Screen

In an exclusive interview with ANI, Farhan Akhtar opened up about the unique challenges involved in creating films based on real-life historical events and personalities. The actor-filmmaker emphasized that while all film projects present their own difficulties, '120 Bahadur' demanded extraordinary commitment due to its demanding shooting locations and the responsibility of accurately portraying national heroes.

"All films are challenging in some way or another. Of course, this demanded a lot more because of where we shot it. That does make a difference," Akhtar revealed, referring to the difficult terrain and weather conditions the crew faced during production.

The multi-talented artist also spoke about the added pressure of ensuring the film respectfully and accurately depicted the bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers and their families. Akhtar stressed the importance of making the families proud of the cinematic representation of their loved ones' legacy.

"We had to make sure that people whose family member is associated with the story, who we are representing in the film, that they should feel proud when they watch the film. That we are giving an accurate depiction, a respectful depiction," he explained with evident sincerity about the project's emotional significance.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, and Dhanveer Singh in prominent roles, all contributing to bringing this important chapter of Indian military history to contemporary audiences.
