Despite the shock, the IFTDA expressed confidence in the efficient Mumbai Police, expecting swift identification of the culprits and complete protection for Shetty and his family.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday when assailants fired four rounds outside the filmmaker's residential building in the upscale Juhu area of Mumbai. Following the attack, authorities immediately deployed heavy police security around Shetty's residential tower. Police and forensic teams secured the premises to conduct a thorough examination. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the firing.

In a significant development, Pune City Police officials confirmed that five suspects have been detained in Pune in connection with the case.
