In a disturbing incident in Patna, a Class XI student was abducted by a group of junior students near his school, assaulted, and later abandoned. The attack, which took place on Wednesday, has been linked to an ongoing rivalry between the victim and a Class X student.
Abduction Near School Premises
The victim, a student of a prominent school in Patna, was accosted by a group of juniors as he was leaving the campus. According to police, the accused forcibly took him to a secluded location where they physically assaulted him. The assailants later left him abandoned, and the victim managed to reach home where he informed his family about the incident.
ASP (Law and Order) Krishna Murari Prasad confirmed that the abduction was not random but stemmed from a prior dispute. "The incident occurred due to an old rivalry between a Class X student and the victim, which dates back about a month," Prasad said.
Police Investigation Underway
Based on the victim's complaint, police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the school area and questioning witnesses to identify the accused. The victim has been sent for a medical examination to document injuries sustained during the assault.
The school administration has been alerted, and police are coordinating with them to ensure the safety of students. "We are taking this matter seriously and will ensure strict action against the perpetrators," Prasad added.
