Initially, they find themselves on opposing sides of a fierce legal battle concerning a major land dispute. The conflict pits a powerful businessman, Haribhai Khaitan, against a woman fighting the forced acquisition of her village for a massive development project. A tragic farmer suicide is a pivotal event in the case. Despite starting as adversaries, the two Jollys soon realize that they must join forces to defend the innocent villagers against the corporate giant.
