Amruta Khanvilkar's 2026 Manifestation: A Dream to Work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Khanvilkar's 2026 Dream: Work with Bhansali

Amruta Khanvilkar starts 2026 with clear confidence and a strong sense of direction. The actor feels momentum building after the release of 'Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web'. She also speaks openly about a long-held professional dream that continues to shape her career choices.

A Clear Dream for the Year Ahead

Khanvilkar reveals she is manifesting an opportunity to work with acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This goal stems from genuine appreciation she once received from him. According to reports, Bhansali personally praised her work in the 2022 Marathi film 'Chandramukhi'.

She recalls a conversation with the filmmaker after the film's release that left a lasting impact. "Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir really liked the film and my songs in it," Khanvilkar says. That moment continues to influence her vision for the future.

"This is what I'm manifesting in 2026 — to get an opportunity to work with him and be in a frame that he has directed," she adds with determination.

Current Success with 'Taskaree'

The actor currently earns praise for her role in 'Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web', which premiered on Netflix. She plays a tough, sharp customs officer in the series. This role highlights her ability to lead a narrative with authority.

The project gives her a strong opening to the year. It reinforces her standing in the digital entertainment space. Alongside this crime series, Khanvilkar prepares for 'Space Gen: Chandrayaan'. This marks another shift in genre and scale for the versatile performer.

These back-to-back projects reflect her focus on range rather than repetition. She actively seeks diverse roles that challenge her as an artist.

Embracing Variety Across Platforms

Reports indicate Khanvilkar will next appear in a JioCinema series. She plays a homemaker in this project, creating a stark contrast to her customs officer role in 'Taskaree'.

Speaking about this transition, she explains, "If in Taskaree, I play a feisty customs officer, the upcoming JioHotstar series features me as a homemaker." Despite the character's softer tone, she finds depth in this role.

"I have to credit the writers [Arunabh Kumar, Shubham Sharma, and Nitin Tiwari], because when the role is written beautifully, an actor just has to go and do her job," Khanvilkar states. She emphasizes, "When a writer crafts a good scene, they give an actor that space to perform."

With varied roles, meaningful writing, and a firm dream in place, Khanvilkar sees 2026 as a year of growth and possibility. She approaches her career with renewed energy and specific aspirations.
