Love Insurance Kompany Team Hosts Thanksgiving Event After Warm Audience Reception
The cast and crew of the Tamil film 'Love Insurance Kompany' (LIK) recently organized a special thanksgiving event to celebrate the movie's positive response from audiences. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty in lead roles, with supporting performances from actors S. J. Suryah and Seeman. Featuring music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the film was released in theatres on April 10 and has been enjoying strong box office performance.
Vignesh Shivan's Emotional Appeal for Support
During the event, director Vignesh Shivan delivered an emotional speech where he openly discussed the significant effort and financial investment that went into making the film. He made a heartfelt request to social media influencers and audiences to focus on the positive elements of the movie rather than criticizing it.
"We have invested almost everything we had to make this film," Shivan stated. "I request influencers not to attack the film but to talk about the good things in it." Using a humorous culinary analogy, he added, "If I cook kesari, people ask why it is not spicy; if I cook chicken curry, they ask why it is not sweet. Sometimes people question everything." His candid and emotional words resonated deeply with those present at the gathering.
Playful Interaction Between Director and Lead Actor
The director also expressed his ambition for 'Love Insurance Kompany' to achieve the 100 crore milestone at the box office. Speaking about lead actor Pradeep Ranganathan, Shivan said he hoped to create a "Rs 100 crore success poster" for the actor once again.
In a lighthearted moment, Vignesh Shivan jokingly pretended to cry on stage, remarking, "If needed, I will cry here itself so people can use it for thumbnails." His humorous performance elicited laughter from the entire audience. Pradeep Ranganathan joined in the fun by also pretending to cry, creating a memorable and entertaining moment with the director that was met with enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.
Pradeep Ranganathan Reflects on Film's Journey
Later in the event, Pradeep Ranganathan spoke about the extensive journey behind 'Love Insurance Kompany'. He revealed that the project was first discussed in early 2023 and experienced multiple delays before its eventual release.
"Normally when a film gets delayed so many times, the hype and confidence reduce," Ranganathan explained. "Even I was worried about how the opening would be." However, he expressed delight at the audience's response, stating, "The opening we received was a big surprise. I did not expect this much love from people."
The actor extended his gratitude to key crew members including cinematographer Ravi Varman, editor Pradeep E. Raghav, and composer Anirudh Ravichander, acknowledging that their contributions significantly strengthened the film. He concluded by thanking the media and fans for their ongoing support throughout the project's development and release.
