Mother Reveals Shocking Cyber Attack Plot Against Prithviraj
Mallika Sukumaran, the mother of acclaimed Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran, has made startling allegations about a coordinated cyber attack targeting her son. In an emotional interview with Manorama Online, she revealed that a vicious online campaign is systematically working to destroy Prithviraj's career in the film industry.
Cyber Attacks Intensify After Vilayath Buddha Release
The situation reportedly escalated following the release of Vilayath Buddha on November 21. Mallika Sukumaran described how the attacks became more organized and targeted after the film's premiere. "There is a vicious online attack against Prithviraj. The aim is to completely remove him from the film industry," she stated during the interview.
She expressed deep concern about the nature of these attacks, highlighting that they appear to be part of a calculated strategy. "It has become the intention of some people to systematically attack Prithviraj. The furious insults on social media, the constant posting of venomous posts centered around him, all part of a planned attack," Mallika elaborated.
Film Organizations Remain Silent Amid Crisis
One of the most troubling aspects for the Sukumaran family has been the lack of support from film industry organizations. Mallika revealed that no film organization has come forward to support her son during this challenging period. She specifically mentioned that organizations like AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) should take a strong stand against such cybercrimes.
"If you ask the organizations, you won't get any answers. What some people want is to 'exclude him from the opposition'," she alleged, suggesting possible professional jealousy behind the attacks.
Possible Motives Behind the Targeted Harassment
Mallika Sukumaran suggested that the cyber attack might be motivated by certain individuals' reluctance to see the success of actor Thilakar's son, Shami Thilakar. This revelation points to possible internal industry dynamics playing a role in the coordinated online harassment.
She confirmed that they have already collected the IDs of some individuals involved in the attacks and are prepared to take legal action. "It is time for the entire film industry to raise a united voice to protect my son," she appealed, emphasizing the need for collective action.
Prithviraj's Continued Professional Success
Despite the ongoing cyber attacks, Prithviraj Sukumaran continues to maintain his prominent position in the industry. He has been the subject of discussion recently, from controversies surrounding 'Empuraan L2' to 'Vilayath Buddha'. Notably, Empuran became the second biggest hit in Malayalam cinema history in terms of gross receipts, despite having to modify scenes related to the Jerak riots.
In 'Vilayath Buddha,' Prithviraj portrayed the character of a sandalwood smuggler named Double Mohanan. His recent projects also include the multilingual film 'Sarzameen' and several upcoming productions such as 'I Nobody, Khalifa', 'Santhosh Trophy', 'Daayra', and 'Varanasi'.
Mallika Sukumaran insists that serious measures are necessary to counter these cyber attacks targeting her son, who continues to aim high and maintain his successful trajectory in the Indian film industry.
