Actor Meiyang Chang recently shared emotional memories about his close friend Prashant Tamang. He spoke about the phase Prashant was experiencing before his sudden passing. Meiyang revealed that Prashant's recent work held special significance for him.
Career Milestones Before the Tragedy
"His recent work in Paatal Lok Season 2 and the upcoming film with Salman Khan represented major milestones in his career," Meiyang stated in an interview. "Prashant felt genuinely pleased and excited about this particular phase."
Meiyang described this period as a strong return for Prashant. After years of dedicated work, extensive travel, and continuous learning, everything seemed to finally fall into place for the actor.
Unfulfilled Plans and Sudden Shock
The news of Prashant's death came as a massive shock to Meiyang and their circle. They had concrete plans to meet soon. "The news hit us hard because we were all busy with our respective work schedules," Meiyang explained. "We had planned to meet in Mumbai this very week."
Prashant had specifically mentioned to Meiyang that he needed to return for dubbing work on the project Galwan. "We last met in November," Meiyang recalled. "The idea was to reconnect in January, but unfortunately, that meeting never happened."
He added another poignant detail. "He was also shooting with Salman Khan, which made processing this tragic news even more difficult for everyone."

Reflecting on their bond, Meiyang expressed profound sorrow. "At just 43 years old, he was far too young to leave us," he said. "We shared a long and deeply meaningful friendship. We genuinely cared for each other."
Meiyang had just returned from attending the funeral. "I have just come back from his funeral in Darjeeling," he shared. "We are all still in a state of shock and disbelief."
Remembering Prashant's Gentle Nature
Meiyang remembered Prashant's character with great warmth. "He would often ask me simple, innocent questions about auditions and casting agents," he fondly recalled.
He emphasized Prashant's personal qualities. "He was a very kind individual. He possessed a gentle spirit and always showed respect to everyone."
Looking ahead, Meiyang expressed a hopeful wish. "I only hope that when Galwan finally releases, audiences will see his work clearly. They will appreciate his talent once again."
