Anoop Menon's Directorial with Mohanlal Faces Production Delay, Awaits Right Producer

"I can only talk about it when the production starts. The production that was attached to it did not work out. So, there is that kind of a technical glitch to it," Anoop Menon stated during the promotional event. He emphasized that both he and Mohanlal are adamant about finding the right producer before moving forward. "Lalettan also feels that we should wait for the right producer to come onboard. Only then will the film materialise," he added.
No Rush for the Project, Timing to Be Perfect
Anoop Menon acknowledged that the search for an appropriate producer might take considerable time, but he has no plans to rush the project. He highlighted that Mohanlal has multiple other films to complete, and he himself has other commitments to manage. "Mohanlal has many films to do, and I also have some to keep me afloat. The film could happen only at a time when the whole production team is happy with everything. It might be this year or the next. Let it happen at that time. Everything is rosy and happy," Anoop Menon remarked, expressing optimism about the project's future despite the current delay.

Anoop Menon announced his directorial featuring Mohanlal in 2025, describing it as a dramatic journey exploring themes of love, longing, and music. The film was planned to be shot extensively across Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, and Shillong. "This subject is so close to my heart," he had said at the time, underscoring the personal significance of the project. The delay, therefore, is not due to a lack of enthusiasm but rather a strategic decision to ensure quality and proper backing.
