According to official data, bilateral trade between India and Bahrain stood at approximately $1.2 billion in 2023-24, with Indian exports accounting for a major share. The two leaders explored ways to boost investments, particularly in infrastructure, technology, and renewable energy. Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund has shown interest in Indian markets, and both sides agreed to facilitate more business exchanges.
Regional and Global Issues
The meeting also covered regional developments, including the situation in West Asia and the Gulf region. Jaishankar briefed the king on India's perspective on ensuring peace and stability in the area. Both leaders emphasized the need for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
