Mona Singh Shares Behind-the-Scenes Details of Aryan Khan's Directorial Debut Climax

In a revealing interview, actress Mona Singh has opened up about the high-pressure climax scene in Aryan Khan's directorial debut, 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood,' shedding light on the challenges of recreating the iconic song 'Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela' and an unexpected visit from Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

The Nerve-Wracking Dance Sequence

Mona Singh described feeling "nervous" and "tricky" about performing the elaborate dance number, particularly because she had just completed filming for the dark and gritty second season of 'Kohrra.' The actress explained the dramatic transition required, stating she needed a moment to shift from that intense psychological space to the vibrant, celebratory atmosphere of the Bollywood-style climax.

"I was coming from a very different world when I was asked to shoot the climax," Singh recalled. "I'd just finished shooting Kohrra season 2. So, I was coming from such a dark, gritty world and suddenly thrown into this climax. I was like, 'Okay, just give me a minute.'"

Shah Rukh Khan's Surprise Set Visit

The pressure intensified when Shah Rukh Khan unexpectedly arrived on set to support his son Aryan. The superstar was filming an advertisement in the same studio and decided to visit, cheering Mona Singh on during her performance.

"He was cheering me on, 'Come on, Mona!' I was dying," Singh confessed. "I told Aryan, 'I can't dance like this in front of your dad!' It did feel like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa all over again."

Singh compared the experience to her time on the popular dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,' noting the similar mix of excitement and performance anxiety.

Technical Challenges and VFX Integration

The actress also detailed the technical complexities of filming the sequence. Co-star Bobby wasn't physically present during her shoot, requiring careful coordination for later visual effects integration.

"It was a lot of fun, but it was a little tricky because Bobby wasn't really shooting with us," Singh explained. "We had to match the steps and everything was done on VFX later."
