"This song is very interesting because it was created at Shah Rukh Khan's house," Shridhar explained. "He said to me, 'Neeraj yaar, ek Punjabi line...' I wasn't sure but I took my time and wrote a few lines."
The singer described how he initially felt uncertain about incorporating Punjabi elements into the track but eventually developed confidence in his creative direction. "I told everyone, 'No one's going to laugh now. I have something in mind.' Pritam was there too, and when I recited the lines, everyone freaked out. They said, 'Yes, this is the song we're going to have.'"
Chor Bazaari's Remarkable Success
As he prepared to perform Chor Bazaari from the 2009 film Love Aaj Kal, Shridhar shared another fascinating anecdote about the song's incredible reception. "When I sang this song, it stayed number one for 11 months," he revealed, highlighting the track's remarkable longevity on music charts.

But I went ahead anyway and ended up really enjoying it."
