Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab' Eyes Japan Release 3-6 Months After India Debut
Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab' to Get Japanese Dubbed Version

In a strategic move to tap into the colossal popularity of actor Prabhas in Japan, the producers of the upcoming horror-comedy 'The Raja Saab' have officially announced plans for a Japanese dubbed version. The film, directed by Maruthi and starring Prabhas in the lead, is set to hit Japanese theatres within three to six months of its Indian release.

Capitalizing on a Massive Japanese Fan Following

The confirmation came directly from the film's producer during a recent pre-release event. When questioned about a potential Japan release given Prabhas's significant stature in the country, the producer revealed their roadmap. "We are at present releasing the film in Indian languages. We will have the film dubbed in Japanese and release it in Japan three to six months after the release here," the producer stated.

This decision is a calculated effort to leverage Prabhas's established market in Japan. The actor's appeal was cemented by the successful release of 'Baahubali: The Epic', for which he personally visited Japan. Prior to that, his action thriller 'Saaho', co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and directed by Sujeeth, created a record by becoming the highest opener for an Indian film in Japan, playing to packed houses.

High Anticipation and Uncharted Territory for Prabhas

'The Raja Saab' has already generated tremendous buzz among fans and cinephiles. A recently released, spine-chilling trailer has further amplified the excitement. The film marks a significant departure for Prabhas, as it is his first full-fledged horror entertainer, stepping into a genre new to his filmography.

The technical crew includes cinematographer Karthik Palani and music composer Thaman S. Adding to the film's allure is the stunning trio of actresses—Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar—who are expected to bring charm and freshness to the eerie narrative.

Domestic Release and Screen Count

While the international plans are taking shape, the makers are also finalizing details for the domestic market. The producer expressed uncertainty about the exact screen count in Tamil Nadu but expressed optimism about securing anywhere between 150 to 200 screens in the state.

With its unique genre blend, Prabhas's star power, and a clear international strategy targeting Japan, 'The Raja Saab' is poised to be a major cinematic event with a reach far beyond Indian shores.
