Excitement builds for Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious film Ramayana. Fans eagerly await its Diwali 2026 release. Now, fresh reports suggest a major update is coming soon.
First Look Announcement Expected in March
According to industry buzz and unverified social media chatter, the makers plan to drop the much-anticipated first look on Ram Navami. This falls on March 27 this year.
The reveal will showcase Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama. It will also feature Yash portraying the demon king Ravana. The team aims to tease the film's grand visual scale through this first look.
Previously, rumors circulated about a possible promotional release on Mahashivratri, February 15. However, no official confirmation has emerged for that date.
Massive Production with International Ambitions
Producer Namit Malhotra is backing this project with significant investment. The team has spent heavily on advanced visual effects and cutting-edge film technology.
Their goal is to present Ramayana on an international scale. Beyond visuals, the makers are focusing intensely on music and sound design.
Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is creating the score. In a recent interview, he shared his collaboration with Dr. Kumar Vishwas.
"I'm working with Dr. Kumar Vishwas on Ramayana," Rahman said. "He's like a professor-level expert on Ramayana and the Hindi language. Every atom of his body speaks Ramayana. He comes out with lyrics like that, and he is a very kind person. So, we're having fun."
Star-Studded Cast and Release Plans
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast:

Ramayana will release in two parts. Part one arrives in theaters on Diwali 2026. Part two is scheduled for Diwali 2027.
