Ranveer Singh Targeted in Rs 20 Crore Extortion Plot by Bishnoi Gang Member

In a shocking development, Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh has become the latest target of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to an FIR registered by Mumbai police on Tuesday, the actor received multiple threat calls from gang member Harry Boxer, who demanded a staggering Rs 20 crore in extortion money.

Police Confirm Threats and Launch Investigation

The Mumbai police have officially confirmed the authenticity of the threats after receiving verification from Punjab and Haryana police that the voice in the threatening calls indeed belonged to Harry Boxer. Following this confirmation, authorities have issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Boxer, who is believed to be hiding in Canada despite being a native of Rajasthan.

The formal complaint was lodged by Ranveer Singh's social media handler and manager, Vijay Subramanian, who serves as the founder and group CEO of Collective Artist Network. Based on Subramanian's detailed statement, the crime branch's south region cyber cell registered the FIR on February 17 specifically against Harry Boxer.

Details of the Threatening Communications

According to the police complaint, Subramanian received two to three threatening calls from an international number on February 10. When he stopped answering these calls, the caller identified himself as Harry Boxer and left three voice messages demanding the Rs 20 crore ransom.

Police investigation revealed that Subramanian received multiple calls on his mobile phone from an international number beginning with +340, a country code believed to be linked to the Virgin Islands. During these calls, the caller not only demanded money but also issued direct threats against the actor's safety.

Connection to Previous Bollywood Attack

Significantly, these threatening calls came just one week after the February 1 shooting incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu bungalow. Police authorities verified the threats received from Boxer before officially registering the case based on Singh's manager's complaint.

In response to these serious threats, security around Ranveer Singh's residence has been significantly enhanced. The actor has also been advised to exercise extreme caution while traveling for film shoots and public appearances.

Chilling Voice Messages Reveal Gang's Intentions

The threatening voice messages left by Harry Boxer contained particularly chilling content. In one message, Boxer warned that "the next seven generations" would remember the outcome if they did not comply with his demands.

Boxer specifically targeted Ranveer Singh in his messages, stating: "Ranveer Singh, you backed out after saying something, right? That's fine — either you revert to your statement, otherwise we will show you what the punishment for backing out is. That's why we are leaving this voice note for you. Rohit Shetty and you should fall in line. And we are telling the entire Bollywood as well."

The gang member went further, claiming responsibility for violent incidents: "The firing that was carried out today in Portugal — me and my brothers take responsibility for the firing at Marina Grand and at Sukhdev's shop."

Broader Investigation and Gang Connections

Police are currently examining the potential role of overseas handler Arzoo Bishnoi, who allegedly guides shooters and provides logistics from outside India. Arzoo's name had previously appeared in social media posts released after the firing on Shetty's bungalow, while Boxer's name emerged specifically for issuing voice messages threatening Ranveer Singh.

This marks the second FIR filed against Lawrence Bishnoi gang members in recent weeks. The earlier case involved the February 1 gunshots fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu residence. The crime branch's Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC), which is investigating both cases, has so far arrested 12 persons including shooter Deepak Sharma, who fired at Shetty's residence at the behest of the Shubham Lonkar faction of the Bishnoi gang.

The south region cyber cell and the anti-extortion cell are now working jointly on the Ranveer Singh case, indicating the seriousness with which authorities are treating these threats against one of Bollywood's most prominent actors.
