On Friday afternoon, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, known for his role in 'Dhurandhar', made a visit to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai to check on the health of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of superstar Salman Khan. Bollywood Stars Show Support for Salim Khan
Ranveer Singh is not the first celebrity to visit Salim Khan at the hospital. Earlier, prominent figures such as Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and Javed Akhtar had also stopped by to inquire about his condition. Additionally, on Thursday night, Aamir Khan visited the hospital with his girlfriend, Gauri, further highlighting the solidarity within the film industry during this difficult time.
Salim Khan's Health Condition and Medical Updates
Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on February 17 and is reportedly receiving ventilator support. On Wednesday, Dr. Jalil Parkar provided an update on the screenwriter's health, confirming a minor brain hemorrhage that necessitated a routine procedure. "He was having jerks and his blood pressure was high. We treated him. We had to put him on a ventilator so that he would not worsen. It wasn’t because he was critical. We did the investigations that were required. We have done a small procedure on him. I will not go into its details. He is fine. He is stable. He has been shifted to the ICU. He is doing quite well. Age is a factor, I understand. That is why the process of recovery will take time," Dr. Parkar explained, emphasizing that while Salim is stable, his age may slow the recovery process.
Salman Khan and Family Demand Privacy
Reports indicate that Salman Khan is unhappy with the hospital doctors and has instructed them not to share updates on his father's health with the media. The family is actively seeking privacy to prevent speculation and maintain control over information regarding Salim's condition. A source close to the family told Variety India, "Health is a private matter. Ideally, no updates should be shared with the media and any communication should be left entirely to the family, if and when they choose to address fans and well-wishers. Salman and his family were displeased with the doctor’s public statement and have clearly conveyed to the authorities that they do not want any further details disclosed." This move underscores the family's desire to handle the situation discreetly amidst public interest.
