Ravi Mohan Embarks on Directorial Journey with 'An Ordinary Man'
Actor Ravi Mohan has officially launched his first film as a director, titled 'An Ordinary Man', starring popular comedian Yogi Babu in the lead role. The project is being produced under Ravi Mohan's own production banner, marking a significant expansion of his creative portfolio in the film industry.
Traditional Pooja Ceremony Kicks Off Production
The film's production commenced with a traditional pooja ceremony, where the team gathered to seek blessings for the project. Photos from this auspicious event were shared by the production house on social media platforms and quickly went viral among eager fans and followers.
Notable attendees at the ceremony included Ravi Mohan, Yogi Babu, and singer Kenishaa Francis. With the shoot now officially underway, this film represents a crucial career milestone for Ravi Mohan as he transitions into the director's chair for the very first time in his professional journey.
Yogi Babu Announces Film's Commencement
Following the ceremony, Yogi Babu personally shared the exciting update with his fans through social media. The actor delivered a simple yet emotional message about the beginning of this new cinematic venture.
He wrote, "An Ordinary Man begins. Shoot starts today with Pooja for my hero Ravi Mohan sir's first movie, debut directorial." Fans immediately flooded the announcement with congratulatory messages and heartfelt wishes for the project's success.
The collaboration between Ravi Mohan and Yogi Babu has generated considerable excitement within the industry, as the two artists share a friendly bond that dates back several years through their shared professional experiences.
A Promise Fulfilled After Six Years
The concept for 'An Ordinary Man' actually originated many years ago during a previous collaboration. During the launch of Ravi Mohan Studios at the Chennai Trade Centre last year, Ravi Mohan publicly announced his plans to produce multiple films and eventually direct one himself.
At that same event, Yogi Babu recalled an interesting memory from their past. He revealed that the two had initially discussed working together on a film while collaborating on the movie 'Comali'. While such casual plans often fade with time, Ravi Mohan remarkably remembered his promise even after six years had passed.
He later decided to transform that promise into reality with 'An Ordinary Man', specifically casting Yogi Babu in the lead role to honor their long-standing professional relationship and shared creative vision.
Film Details Remain Under Wraps
The production team has maintained secrecy regarding several key aspects of the film. The story, genre, and complete cast list have not yet been officially revealed to the public. It also remains unclear whether Ravi Mohan will appear as an actor in the movie alongside his directorial duties.
However, the team's decision to tag singer Kenishaa Francis in their official announcement strongly suggests that she may contribute to the film's musical elements. This project represents the second production from Ravi Mohan's banner, following 'Bro Code', which is currently still in production.
Ravi Mohan was recently seen portraying the antagonist in Sudha Kongara's film 'Parasakthi' alongside Sivakarthikeyan, where his performance received significant critical praise. Beyond this directorial debut, the actor has several other projects in his upcoming lineup, including 'Genie', 'Bro Code', and 'Karathey Babu'.
