From Rebellious Upbringing to Musical Debut

Originally known as Daia Lamare, Reble traces her creative instincts back to her childhood in Meghalaya. In an interview with NDTV, she reflected on her personality, stating, "I was always a rebellious kid and it's just my nature." She also discussed how social hierarchies during her formative years shaped her perspective. "Growing up, we had a lot of biases depending on how much money your parents made; a lot of us came from middle-class backgrounds, trying to fit in. This classism definitely angered me."

This sense of frustration ultimately found expression through music, leading to her debut single 'Bad' in 2019. Looking back on this early work, Reble remarked, "Bad was my first single, and it's a terrible song tbh, but it was a start, and I'm proud of myself for trying early on." This track marked the beginning of her artistic journey, paving the way for future opportunities and growth.

Career Shift: Engineering Dreams to Music Reality

Before embarking on her musical path, Reble had envisioned a completely different career trajectory. She shared, "I thought I was going to work an engineering job after college and I was preparing for my entrance exams. I was damn sure I was gonna crack it and land the typical job that most people crave." However, life took an unexpected turn. "However, life took a turn and offered me something with more flexibility, and that is having a career in music. I like being my own person and not having an authority asking me to do something."

This transition has led to significant milestones, including her involvement in projects like 'Dhurandhar 2' and 'Lokah Chapter 1'. Reble described these opportunities as personally meaningful, noting, "The movies gave me a massive push, and these projects are very personal to me." Her creative process relies heavily on instinct, as she explained, "I trust my feelings and my peers' opinions. That's how I know it's ready." This approach allows her to blend multiple genres, reflecting diverse influences and a willingness to experiment with sound.

Addressing Racism and Hopes for Unity

Reble also opened up about the issue of racism faced by individuals from India's Northeast region. She stated, "I've never faced severe cases of racism, but my NE brothers and sisters definitely have, and it definitely affects me emotionally." Expressing a desire for greater harmony, she added, "I think there's unnecessary hate towards one another in my country, and I hope people unite as one so we can progress. On the bright side, the situation has improved over the years, and I think the youth will take it in the right direction."

Referring to a recent incident, she expressed deep concern, saying, "That incident made me really upset. Thinking about how many people had to go through this without receiving any justice makes me even more upset." She also highlighted the challenges of undocumented cases, questioning, "Now we can take this to social media, but what about undocumented cases? What about those from the past who suffered before social media?"

Recent Work and Career Milestones

Reble's recent contributions to 'Dhurandhar 2' and her involvement in 'Lokah Chapter 1' represent key achievements in her evolving career. These projects have provided her with broader exposure and helped her connect with new audiences, further establishing her as a versatile and influential artist in the Indian music scene.
