Sachin Pilgaonkar Praises Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Act

Veteran actor Sachin Pilgaonkar has showered praise on Ranveer Singh for his performance in the spy thriller 'Dhurandhar,' noting that the actor brought both intensity and restraint to his dual role as Hamza and Jaskirat. The film, which has already drawn strong reactions from audiences, critics, and industry voices, showcases Ranveer's ability to hold back while keeping the mystery around his character alive, a quality that Pilgaonkar found outstanding.

Sachin Pilgaonkar Praises Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' Act

Sachin Pilgaonkar spoke highly of Ranveer's craft, expressing admiration for his work in both '83' and 'Dhurandhar.' He praised Ranveer for going deep into his characters rather than merely playing them on the surface.

According to Moneycontrol, Sachin said, “I really liked Ranveer's acting in '83.' I really like Ranveer as an actor. He gets inside the character. I really like actors who enter deeply into their roles and work from within. So I would definitely want to give him 100 rupees whenever I meet him. I also really liked his work in 'Dhurandhar.' Akshaye Khanna was liked a lot by people, and he also did very good work. His was an author-backed role. But Ranveer had limitations because, as a spy, he could not reveal what he really was. He had to hold himself back. Whatever Ranveer has done, the way he restrained himself was outstanding.”

The veteran actor also noted that while Akshaye Khanna's role received audience love, Ranveer faced a different challenge because his character had to keep his identity hidden. That restraint, he said, made the performance more impressive.

Ranveer Singh's Performance Draws Industry Praise

In 'Dhurandhar,' Ranveer's spy character could not reveal too much too early. The role demanded silence, control, mystery, and emotional weight. Sachin especially praised Ranveer for holding himself back, calling that control “lajawab” (outstanding). Ranveer has also received praise from several industry names for his work in the franchise. Vijay Varma, Danish Pandor, and Saqib Saleem have spoken about the impact of his performance, with many calling it one of his most powerful turns.

The franchise has also delivered strong commercial results. Reports cited by The Times of India stated that 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark globally. For Ranveer, the praise adds to the attention his recent work has received. Sachin's comments focus on the actor's ability to immerse in a role while maintaining a controlled, convincing performance.
