Sanskruti Jayana on 24-Hour Preparation
In a recent interview with IANS, Sanskruti discussed the rapid pace of the process. She explained how everything came together in a remarkably short timeframe. Despite the pressure, she managed to deliver a performance that perfectly matches the song's tone.
"It all came together really fast, within 24 hours, almost like it had its own urgency: learning the lyrics, finding the rhythm, stepping into it," she said.
A Deeply Personal Experience
Sanskruti also described the experience as profoundly meaningful. She shared how the opportunity connected with her long-standing admiration for iconic voices in the music industry.
"Growing up, I've danced to these voices, dreamt of them, rehearsed to them, imagined myself somewhere in that world. And today, to be given a voice by Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, and Neeti Mohan, it feels unreal in the most quiet, overwhelming way," she revealed.
The actor further disclosed that the shoot transcended mere performance execution. Even under challenging conditions, the process became emotionally immersive for her. She found herself deeply connecting with the character she portrayed.
"Somewhere in the middle of it, it stopped feeling like just a shoot. It started feeling like her," she stated. This transition from performance to emotional connection helped shape her portrayal of Satyabhama.
About 'Krishnavataram'
The song 'Krishna Govinda' is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and features Sanskruti Jayana as Satyabhama. The film 'Krishnavataram' is directed by Hardik Gajjar. The project is planned as the first chapter of a three-part franchise. Titled 'Krishnavataram: Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam),' the film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 7.
