Renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, celebrated for directing classics like Mr India, recently took to social media to express his thoughts on the film. On Monday, he posted a detailed review on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he commended the director and the entire team.
In his post, Shekhar wrote, "Finally saw #Dhurandhar on Netflix. Terrific storytelling and very high level of performances even from minor roles. Director #AdityaDhar deserves all the praise he’s getting. Congratulations producer #jyotideshpande and looking forward to #Dhurandhar2."
He specifically highlighted the film's compelling narrative and the outstanding acting across all roles, while also showing excitement for the upcoming sequel.

Responding to a fan who noted the rarity of a first installment feeling complete while setting up a sequel, Shekhar agreed with the observation. Several followers also questioned why Shekhar had missed watching Dhurandhar during its theatrical run in December. He explained, "I wish I had .. but it was not available in theatres where I am." Further elaborating, he added, "I am in Dubai where it did not release."
