In a recent exclusive interview with Times Of India TV, popular reality television personality Shiv Thakare has shared heartfelt details about a distressing fire incident that occurred at his Goregaon residence in November last year. The blaze caused significant damage to a major portion of the house, but fortunately, the Bigg Boss 16 contestant and his family members emerged completely unharmed from the terrifying event.
Shiv Thakare Recalls the Terrifying Fire Incident
Speaking candidly about the frightening experience, Shiv Thakare revealed, "Thankfully, no one was in the living room at that time. I was in the bedroom, and by God's grace, only a few things caught fire." The actor demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of adversity, adding, "I try not to take too much stress and know how to handle such situations."
The Emotional Loss of Precious Trophies
While expressing gratitude for the safety of his loved ones, Shiv Thakare opened up about what truly pained him during the incident - the damage to his hard-earned trophies. "What hurt a little was losing some trophies, as they were very special to me," he confessed emotionally. "Those are achievements you can't always win again or replace easily."
The reality star, who will soon appear in the upcoming show The 50, elaborated on the sentimental value of these awards. "It hurts a little, and it feels even worse because these are not things you can simply buy, they are earned. They take years of hard work. You perform from childhood, sometimes you come third, sometimes second, and finally you reach first. That first trophy holds immense value."
Personal Connection to His Achievements
Shiv Thakare further revealed the deep personal connection he maintains with his trophies, sharing an interesting detail about how he handles them during moves. "Even while shifting, I never pack them carelessly. If someone puts them in a sack, I don't like it - I usually carry them in my car myself. That's how close they are to me," he explained.
He emphasized that such achievements hold special significance for everyone, not just himself. "And it's not just for me; such achievements are special to everyone. So yes, it feels bad. But it's okay. As long as we are safe, we can achieve things again. God has protected us, and that matters the most."
Gratitude for Family Safety Amidst the Chaos
Despite the material losses, Shiv Thakare maintained a positive outlook, repeatedly expressing thankfulness that his family was safe during the incident. He specifically mentioned that his family members were in Amravati at the time, which provided him with immense relief. "Still, by God's grace, the damage was limited, and most importantly, my family was safe in Amravati," he stated with evident gratitude.
Looking Ahead: Career Updates and Future Projects
On the professional front, Shiv Thakare continues to build his impressive reality television career. After his recent appearance in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the actor is now preparing for his next venture, The 50. His reality show journey includes notable participations in successful programs like Roadies, Bigg Boss season 16, and Khatron Ke Khiladi. He also holds the distinction of being the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi.
Reflecting on his remarkable journey, Shiv Thakare recalls his humble beginnings, including working at his father's pan shop before achieving fame through reality television. His association with the popular Mandali group from Bigg Boss 16 remains a significant part of his public persona as he continues to navigate both challenges and opportunities in the entertainment industry.
