Star Singer is more than just a music reality show. It is a celebration of music and genuine talent. Beyond the competition, the show often captivates viewers with the camaraderie among contestants and the judging panel. This time, an emotional moment involving judge Sithara Krishnakumar has deeply touched hearts.
Emotional Improvisation Round
During the improvisation round, contestant Surya Narayanan took the stage with the popular Hindi song 'Mithwa.' Although his soulful singing and improvisation impressed everyone, he missed the lyrics twice during the performance, leaving the audience disappointed. Notably, this mistake visibly affected judge and singer Sithara Krishnakumar, who was seen in tears.
After the performance, Sithara poured out her emotions. 'I felt really sad because he was singing so well. I have known him since his childhood, and when he missed the lyrics, it hurt me. He is a great singer, but I wished this part had also gone right,' she said, tearfully. Soon, Surya rushed to her and hugged her, sharing a touching moment on stage.
KS Chithra's Comforting Words
Judge KS Chithra also comforted the young singer, praising his overall performance despite the slip. 'Since it is not our mother's touch, there are chances for such misses. It is okay. But you have sung the other portions so well. The improvisations and fade-out touched my heart,' she said. The legendary singer also acknowledged the chorus team for their support during the challenging moment.
Star Singer continues to win hearts with stunning performances. The show is currently in the improvisation round, where contestants present songs with their own unique twists. In a previous episode, contestant Krishnasree earned a golden star for her soulful rendition of 'Kannoram Chingaram.'
