"I wanted to convey that a person should be presentable and take pride in the way he or she looks whenever he or she goes to public surroundings," Sivaji explained. He specifically apologized for using "two vulgar words" during his speech, calling them unnecessary and extending heartfelt condolences to all women offended by them. Despite this, the actor affirmed he stands by the fundamental concern for social security that prompted his statement.

"The shame and fear I witnessed in that woman’s eyes really felt heavy on my heart. That’s the reason I wanted to speak up about it. Women’s safety matters to me," he stated, linking his broader comments to this moment of perceived vulnerability.

The backlash has moved beyond online debates. The Telangana State Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter. The commission has issued a formal notice to Sivaji, summoning him to appear for a questioning session on December 27, 2025.
