Srinath Maganti Opens Up About Working with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal

Actor Srinath Maganti, who portrayed the role of Rashmika Mandanna's brother in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's blockbuster film Animal, has recently shared his experiences from the sets, particularly highlighting his interactions with lead actor Ranbir Kapoor. In a candid conversation on the Sodhi Chebutha podcast, Maganti revealed that working alongside Kapoor was a significant learning opportunity that left a lasting impression on him.

A Star Without Starry Tantrums

Maganti emphasized that despite coming from a legendary film family—being the grandson of Raj Kapoor and son of Rishi Kapoor—Ranbir Kapoor exhibits remarkable humility on set. "It's a huge learning experience. His grandfather is a star, his father is a star, and he himself is a star. The dedication he has, whoa!" Maganti exclaimed, praising Kapoor's work ethic.

He further noted that Kapoor does not arrive with an entourage or display any diva-like behavior. Instead, he brings a large plate of snacks for everyone on set. "Ranbir Kapoor does not come with an entourage. When he comes on set, a huge plate filled with healthy chips, biscuits, chocolates, and all kinds of snacks is brought along. It's for the people around him on set," Maganti shared.

An Incident That Highlighted Kapoor's Generosity

Maganti recalled a specific incident that underscored Kapoor's down-to-earth nature. When he once reached for a snack from the plate, someone cautioned him that it belonged to Kapoor. "I remember when I first took a snack, someone told me, 'Yeh sir ka hai (this belongs to sir).' I was like, 'Itna khate kya sir (does sir eat this much)?'" Maganti recounted.

Kapoor overheard the exchange and immediately intervened, saying, "Aye c***iye, khaane de (let him eat)." Maganti clarified that this was not meant abusively but as a term of endearment, showcasing Kapoor's affectionate and inclusive demeanor. "He's not abusive, but he's the kind to cuss with love," he added.

Maganti's Tribute to Kapoor

Following the release of Animal in 2023, Maganti posted a selfie with Ranbir Kapoor on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt note. The caption read, "It was a huge learning curve working with you #ranbirkapoor sir, One of the highly secured Actor, I have ever met. Working with you has been an amazing experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Karthik will always be there for you. Mad respect and love to you. My ANIMAL brother." This post reflects the deep respect and camaraderie that developed between the two actors during the filming.
